On this episode of Book Spectrum, host Chris Cordani speaks with David Cox, author of This Is A Gun: A Safety Guide for Families with Children, about one of the most serious conversations parents and guardians can have: firearm safety around children. This discussion focuses on awareness, responsibility, prevention, and how families can approach a difficult subject in a clear, age-appropriate, and safety-first way. Cox’s book is designed to help parents, caregivers, and households think carefully about how to talk to children about guns, reduce risks, and build safer habits at home. Whether a family owns a firearm, has relatives who do, or simply wants children to understand basic safety principles, this episode offers an important conversation about education, responsibility, and protecting children. 📘 Get the book:
